As much as we have seen from the Action genre, that would still be preferable to another FPS. I appreciate the smaller budget games as much as the next guy, and please, keep them coming, as they have been some of the most enjoyable free content to date! However, having said that, there is a real need for the IGC to offer equally enticing AAA game experiences of the RPG and Strategy genres. I understand the need for Sony as a platform to reel in the shooter crowd from it’s competitors, but please don’t forget the Sony following that is your base, and we generally don’t prefer Shooters.Īfter careful reflection of the free games on offer, most, if not all the biggest/best known games are shooters. While I’m glad to see quality titles hitting the PS+ free IGC, I can’t help but notice that 5 of 12 (nearly half) the PS3 free games on offer are First Person Shooters.
